    Tim Kenny

    Co-Founder and Chairman

    Tim Kenny has been an insurance professional since 1982 and has extensive leadership and global industry experience, including strong business relationships with other insurance and reinsurance industry leaders. Prior to co-founding Aran Insurance Services Group in 2009, Tim served as president and chief executive officer of QBE the Americas. He is also the past chairman and co-founder of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that raises funds for childhood cancer research. A native of Ireland, Tim graduated from the University of Limerick and has studied at the Institute of Credit Management and the Chartered Insurance Institute in London as well as St. John’s College of Insurance in New York.

    John LaCava has been an insurance professional since 1985 and has extensive underwriting, operational and technical experience in product development and management, strategic planning and organizational leadership. Prior to co-founding Aran Insurance Services Group, he held the positions of executive vice president, chief administrative officer and chief information officer for QBE the Americas. John holds an MBA from Pace University Lubin Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University.

    President & CEO, MiniCo Insurance Agency

    Mike Schofield is President and CEO of MiniCo Insurance Agency, a nationwide program administrator offering multiple specialty property and casualty and accident and health insurance products for a variety of unique industries and exposures. He is also CEO of MiniCo’s Canadian operations. Mike has over 30 years of executive-level experience including 10 years as an agency owner specializing in life, health, and property and casualty insurance programs for the supermarket industry. He has held leadership positions responsible for sales, marketing, technology, underwriting, claims and customer care. Mike holds a bachelor of business administration degree in management from Lamar University.

    Scott Eastland is President of Aran Insurance Underwriters, a full-service managing general underwriter specializing in underwriting medical stop loss insurance for self-funded health plans. He has over 20 years of underwriting and management experience in the employee benefits industry including senior executive positions with nationally recognized managing general underwriters. Scott holds an MBA from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota.

    President, HRMP

    Jim Mange is President of HRMP, a reinsurance manager and third-party administrator specializing in group and health insurance carriers. He has over 30 years of insurance industry experience including previous positions with The Travelers Companies, Inc. (now part of UnitedHealth Group) and Connecticut General Life Insurance Company (now part of CIGNA). Jim is a graduate of the University of Michigan, a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Jim is long-term volunteer of the Society of Actuaries, including service as general chair of its education committee.

    Jim Henry has been an insurance professional for over 25 years and has proven multi-line commercial and agricultural underwriting and management experience. Previously, he served as RVP of Farmers Union Insurance and President of QBE Agri Insurance. Jim also has held various senior management positions with OneBeacon Insurance and Great American Insurance Group. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and currently holds his CPCU, ARe, AIC, ARM, AIS and AFIS designations.

    Rick Krouner has been an insurance professional for over 35 years including extensive leadership, operational and underwriting experience. Previously, he was the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Inter-Reco, Inc., a full-service program administrator specializing in writing general liability for New York contractors. Rick also was President of Inter-Cas Ltd., and founder and President of UTC Risk Management Services, Inc. He has served as an expert witness in several reinsurance/insurance disputes in the construction and managing general agency field. Rick holds a bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance from Syracuse University.
